Bill Pachoud

Chairman, Founder & Chief Technical Officer

Bill Pachoud is the CTO and founder of The Root Group, and the founder of Zonit Structured Solutions.  He has more than 20 years of experience in information systems architecture, design and implementation, with particular emphasis on the architecture of large, complex information technology environments. Prior to founding Root Group, and subsequently Zonit, Mr. Pachoud worked at Bell Labs from 1984 to 1987 in the design, implementation and testing of data communication features for PBX systems. From 1987 until 1988, he worked at Solbourne Computer as the Chief System Administrator. During this time, he managed the tripling of the company’s network and two relocations. From 1989 until the present Bill has been the Chairman and CTO of the Root Group.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. His graduate work at CU Boulder in Computer Science focused on Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science and User Interface Design.

Michael Corrigan

Chief Financial Officer 

Michael Corrigan has 30 years of experience in financial management.  He has served as Chief Financial Office and/or Controller for many companies.  Highlights include: serving as the CFO for a multi-million-dollar radio-frequency identification device manufacturer, a multi-million-dollar machine shop, and a multi-million-dollar signage manufacturer.  Mr. Corrigan also has worked as an Assistant Controller of Financial Reporting for CoBank Denver; an Assistant Controller for Scott’s Liquid Gold, a $16 million manufacturer of household chemical products; and as an auditor for Touche Ross & Co. of Denver.  He earned a B.S. in Finance with an accounting emphasis from University of Colorado at Boulder.

Bob Heckathorn

Director of Manufacturing

Bob Heckathorn has over 30 years of experience in all areas of manufacturing including quality assurance, purchasing, ISO 9001 systems, and production management. Prior to joining Zonit, Mr. Heckathorn was the principal in his own management consulting firm specializing in quality assurance systems.  Mr Heckathorn held management positions with McData Corporation (Director of Quality Assurance then, Director of Manufacturing, and then to Business Unit Manager), Lestronics/Precision Power Systems (Director of Quality Assurance and the Director of Manufacturing), SPC Quality Systems (founder and President), Storage Technology (Senior Quality Engineer) and US Steel.  Mr Heckathorn earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh, PA.
